Trend Micro recently announced that its flagship product Apex One is offering an exclusive, limited-time feature: instant exploitability right out of the box! That’s right, the once mundane management console has now been upgraded into an exciting hacker’s playground, perfect for remote code execution and command injection enthusiasts.
The cybersecurity giant is quick to reassure its users, however. ‘We have released mitigations,’ a spokesperson stated, referring to a PDF document containing the word ‘Oops’ repeated 87 times. ‘Our team is actively working on more innovative ways to help our customers embrace a less mundane and more adventurous relationship with cybersecurity.’
Not to be outdone, the vulnerabilities in question, CVE-2025-54948 and CVE-2025-54987, have received an elite 9.4 rating on the CVSS scoring system. Insiders speculate this rating signifies their potential as career-launching opportunities for enterprising hackers. Who needs a penthouse suite when you can command any system from the comforts of your home?
