In a bold move that has left graphic designers shaking in their boots, GootLoader has returned with a fresh tactic: changing its font. That’s right, because clearly the biggest obstacle to spreading malware was Times New Roman.
According to sources, GootLoader’s latest strategy is as insidious as a Comic Sans document at a professional conference. It’s now using font tricks to embed malware on WordPress sites, proving that even malicious code can appreciate a good typographical presentation.
Cybersecurity analysts warned users to be on the lookout for suspicious sites bearing both Helvetica and malware. ‘It’s like phishing with a serif,’ commented one expert, who wished to remain anonymous because they were busy updating their PowerPoint template.
Huntress, the cybersecurity firm that broke the news, promises to keep the public informed on whether GootLoader plans to switch next to Papyrus. ‘At that point,’ they said, ‘we might have to call in the graphic design police.’
