In a groundbreaking move, Google Chrome has decided to revoke the virtual driver’s licenses of two certificate authorities, Chunghwa Telecom and Netlock, for what they’re calling ‘patterns of concerning behavior.’ Apparently, these certificate authorities have been attending the online equivalent of unsupervised basement parties.
Google announced that this digital grounding will take effect with Chrome 139, slated for release in August 2025, after presumably setting up parental controls and installing extra locks on its backend.
Chunghwa and Netlock, meanwhile, were last seen wandering the internet highway aimlessly, desperately seeking forgiveness from that one friend who actually reads the terms and conditions.
