In the year 2025, the security landscape is about as predictable as a cat’s love life. With containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies becoming the fast food of tech infrastructure, traditional security models are feeling a bit like rotary phones at a smartphone convention. Despite security teams’ best efforts, the attack surface has expanded faster than a teenager’s Twitter drama.
As enterprises dive headfirst into these technologies like it’s the last pool party of the summer, complexity grows like an unsolicited pyramid scheme. Security teams are now asked to monitor vast hybrid environments. It’s the equivalent of asking them to spot a fly in a tornadoโgood luck with that! But hey, at least they get to practice their runtime visibility, which, by 2025, is more of a yoga exercise than a security protocol.
Nevertheless, hope lingers. Runtime visibility has been crowned as the new savior, replacing the pie-in-the-sky dreams of foolproof firewalls. Now, if they could just figure out how to make it more user-friendly than quantum physics… well, maybe security teams wouldn’t need so much coffee.
