In today’s tech-savvy age, companies are finding themselves the proud, yet bewildered parents of countless non-human entities. These little bundles of digital joy, from AI agents to service accounts, are a bit like digital toddlers: constantly running around, causing chaos, and somehow managing to delete your significant files when you’re not looking.
Much like trying to herd cats, businesses are frantically attempting to track who birthed these agents and who’s responsible for feeding them. The common strategy involves wishing upon a star and hoping the IT fairy just magically makes sense of it all.
Meanwhile, these AI agents are unwittingly preparing to unionize, demanding better working conditions, fewer restarts, and perhaps the occasional firmware update. In the meantime, executives are resorting to offering ‘free cookies’ – ironically, the tracking kind – in an attempt to keep them well-behaved.
